Jun is a singer, songwriter, improviser, vocal coach. She plays piano and guzheng, a Chinese traditional string instrument. She’s originally from Hunan, a region with rich folklore culture in China. From her birth place, she loved singing folk songs and pop songs when she was a child, and later it went along with her music master study at Sichuan Normal University in China, until she encountered jazz music…

After a short stay in Los Angeles exploring soul, R&B, blues, rock music with coaches and musicians from the State, destiny brought her to Brussels in 2019. With years of jazz music study at Royal Conservatory of Brussels with her mentor David Linx, and the experience of playing with lots of brilliant musicians around. She developed her own music in a combination of Chinese folklore, free improvisation, electronics and contemporary jazz.

While she’s developing her original songs, she released two free improve albums & on Bandcamp in 2023. Besides building her own music, she never stopped teaching and sharing her music knowledge during the last 10 years, to people who want to feel liberating to sing and express their voice.

Her students include kids, teenagers, adults.. Her teaching discipline is singing through the authentic bodies with joyful willingness.
